The Westbrook High School marching band plays patriotic tunes as it makes its way down Main Street during the annual Memorial Day parade in Westbrook. The parade started in Longfellow Street and concluded at Riverbank Park where there was a short ceremony.

Led by Police Chief Janine Roberts, center, members of the Westbrook Police Department present the colors as they kick off the annual Memorial Day parade Monday in downtown Westbrook.

Veterans from American Legion Post 62 and American Legion Post 197 represented their fallen brethren as community members lined Main Street in Westbrook to honor those who lost their lives in service to this country.

Oliver Mansfield, 3, of Westbrook, waves to firefighters in Engine 2 during Westbrook’s annual Memorial Day parade May 28. The parade included members of the fire and police departments and veterans from the two American Legion posts in the city, as well as musicians from the middle school, high school and Westbtook City Band and members of local Boy Scout and Girl Scout groups.
