The Westbrook American reported on Oct. 30, 1957, that a giant parade would highlight a city-wide Halloween party. Kids were to gather at Riverbank Park where the parade would be directed by Sumner Oleson and Wilson Herring.

Gorham public officials and post office personnel received flu shots at the fire barn under supervision of Wiley Chandler with shots administered by Dr. Clifford Gates.
