DURHAM — A Durham man was killed when a car collided with his motorcycle today, according to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department.
William Harris, 24, was traveling south on Route 136 when he was struck by a car around 6:50 p.m. The car’s driver, 18-year-old Michael Matczak of North Kingston, R.I., was passing other vehicles and apparently did not see Harris.
Harris was pronounced dead at the scene. Matczak and a passenger in his car were transported to Central Maine Medical Center for treatment.
The sheriff’s department continues to investigate the crash. An accident reconstructionist from the Lewiston Police Department assisted.
