Cheverus High School: Benjamin LaMontagne, a sophmore from Long Island, was recently named to the All-New England Band Festival Concert Band.

Deering High School: Joseph Hogan, a junior, was one of 32 students in the country to participate in the summer “Economics for Leaders” program at Babson College in Boston.

Cape Elizabeth High School: The following students have earned College Board AP Scholar Awards for achievement on AP Exams.

Qualifying for both the National AP Scholar Award and the AP Scholar with Distinction Award are: Alexander Diaz, Reid Douty, Peter Governali, Lucy Hewitt, Matthew Miklavic, John Queeney, Benjamin Richardson and Brendan Stewart.

Qualifying for AP Scholar with Distinction Awards are: Kelsey Barton, Willard Bollenbach, Theodore Bowe, Camille Braun, Allison Chase, William Daly, Ethan DiNinno, Kelsey Krull, Joseph Long, Robert Macdonald, Kelsey Maguire, Jackson Roos, Ross Sherman, Emily Taintor, Hannah Wallace and Paul Wennberg.

Qualifying for the AP Scholar with Honor Award are: Karyn Barrett, Benjamin Berman, Paul Hamerski, McClaran Hayes, Ian McInerney, Edward Melanson, Rachel Nichols, Maggie Rabasca, Delaney Ratner and Melissa Stewart.

These students qualified for the AP Scholar Award: Max Aronson, Blake Barritt, Lydia Berman, Allyson Boyington, Brian Brett, Victoria Brigham, Elena Castro, Olivia Cooper, Sarah Cummings, Emily Donovan, Forest Hewitt, Julia Hintlian, Gregory Howard, Rachel Hunt, James Laprade, Andrew Lynch, Maria Morris, Claire Muscat and Lynn Tarbox.
