AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — The brothers who have owned Augusta Seafood for about four decades have sold the store to another local family, but the new owners say don’t expect too much to change.
In fact, Jeff and Bob Benedict will stick around to help out at the North Belfast Avenue business they sold to a company owned by the Cheng family — Jeff as general manager and Bob as needed.
Janie Cheng promises that the quality and service at the store will stay the same.
Cheng tells the Kennebec Journal (http://bit.ly/14L9WV6 ) her family plans to offer beer and wine, maybe some produce, and start selling coffee. She also might start delivering seafood orders locally at some point.
