SACO — Irene Doyon Pellerin, 80, Amesbury, Massachusetts, and formerly of Saco, was called home to the Lord on the evening of July 6, 2014. She passed peacefully, surrounded by family, after a long battle with Parkinson’s and lung cancer.

She grew up in Saco, the daughter of Andre and Ovilda Corbeil Doyon.

She graduated from Notre Dame de Lourdes, and in 1953, she married Gerard Pellerin, who passed away in 2003.

Irene was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing and loved animals, especially her cats. She studied astrology and gave many family members and friends pleasure with her astrological charts.

She went on to spend her later years with her daughter, Diane, and her family in Massachusetts.
