Public safety officials responded to a call of an oil delivery truck that had gone off the road in the area of 59 Maple St., Saco, around 9 a.m. Wednesday. The truck knocked down a utility pole and then hit a tree, said Fire Lt. Wayne Hanson. Maine Department of Environmental Protection was on scene to help with the clean up, and Central Maine Power company replaced the utility pole. Hanson said about 30 gallons of fuel spilled as a result of the accident. No one was injured, he said, but traffic on the street was blocked off until about noon. LIZ GOTTHELF/Journal Tribune
