OLD ORCHARD BEACH — The Old Orchard Beach field hockey team nearly completed he comeback win against Waynflete Wednesday, however, managed to force a 2-2 tie.
Waynflete jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Daniella Johnson and Semhar Yehdego in the first half.
The Seagulls continued to battle, and began making progress with just under six minutes remaining in the game when Eryca Leclerc scored on a penalty stroke. Leclerc would later strike again with just 10 seconds remaining to tie the score at 2-2.
The two teams battled through two overtimes, but neither would score.
