MARCUS CLOUTIER
Boys’ swimming
A junior from Cape Elizabeth who was born in Australia, Cloutier enjoyed an undefeated season in the pool this winter.
He was the Class A state champion in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100 freestyle, in times faster than those of any other Maine high school swimmer this year.
Cloutier also helped the Capers win the 200 free relay and place second in the 400 free relay.
SARAH EASTERLING
Girls’ swimming
A sophomore at Greely High, Easterling is a two-time Class B state champion in both the 100-yard backstroke and the 200 individual medley.
She set a backstroke meet record of 59.40 seconds, won both events at New Englands and this winter played a role in eight school and three pool records.
Her times were among the top three in the state in six of eight individual events, and top 10 among the other twos.
