APPLETON (AP) — Police say a Maine state trooper and an Appleton woman suffered minor injuries when their cars collided as the trooper was responding to another crash.
Police say Jeremy Wesbrock was heading to the crash in Searsmont at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. His cruiser’s emergency lights and siren were on. He was attempting to pass a car operated by 52-year-old Lisa Ford just as Ford was making a left turn into her driveway.
Police said the cruiser sideswiped Ford’s car and both vehicles ended up off the road.
Other troopers responded to the crash in Searsmont.
