1919 – 2019
WISCASSET – Charlotte M. Charest died on August 8, 2019. She was born in Manchester, Maine on Dec 6, 1919, daughter of Perley Richardson and Mae Randall Clark.
Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Gerard Charest; sons, David Hall and Richard Charest; and her sister, Virginia Morang. She is survived by her son, Jim Hall and his partner Lyn Bickford of Yarmouth, daughter, Janice Hall Parvin and fiancee Ken Chamberland of Woolwich. stepdaughters, Simonne Burns of Wells, Christine Sonia of Wiscasset, Rachel Stinson her husband Delmar Stinson of Woolwich and Joseph Leo Charest and his wife Lynn Charest of Colorado. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great- grandchildren, and her neice, Judy Morang Ford and nephews Rolly and wife Jean Morang and Steve Morang; and daughter-in-law, Barbara King and her husband David King.
Charlotte was an avid reader and kept up with current events. She loved gardening and baking. Her special fruit cake will be missed at Christmas time. Charlotte was an amazing person who loved her family and cared for her son Richard for 57 years who had Downs Syndrome.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday, Sept. 9, at 11a.m. at St. Mary’s church at 144 Lincoln St. in Bath, Maine.
