BIDDEFORD — The chance to dress casual for a day was a secondary motivation for students participating in “Casual for a Cause” at St. James School in Biddeford.

The “Casual for a Cause” initiative at St. James is held monthly. The student council selects a worthy charity, and students who donate to the cause are allowed to dress casually on the second Friday of each month. For February, the students donated to Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland. In one day, the St. James community raised $412.
