RICHMOND – Donna M. Colby, 74, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2019, after a battle with cancer.
She was born on Sept. 21, 1944, in Richmond, the daughter of Rowland and Marion Hanson.
In her younger days she worked at Etonic Shoe, Prouts Farm, Claristat and cleaning homes in the local area.
Donna loved to work in her garden, crafts, crosswords, being with family and friends. Donna will be remembered by the local town residents for always waving or saying hello as they past by her home.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Faylene Colby of Richmond; son, Thomas Colby of Farmingdale; granddaughter, Demi Colby; niece, Billie-Jo of Richmond; a great-nephew, Raymond of Richmond and several cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Faye Howard, Bonnie Hanson, Barbara Hanson, all of Richmond, Gertrude Hanson of Bowdoin and Richmond; brothers, Roland Hanson and Gary Hanson both of Richmond.
She will be buried next to her parents and siblings. Per Donna’s request there will not be any funeral services.
Arrangements are under the care of Kincer Funeral Home 130 Pleasant St., Richmond, Maine 04357.
