SANFORD — Partners for Healthier Communities, or PHC, at Southern Maine Health Care, a local Healthy Maine Partnership, and Walmart are launching an indoor walking program on Friday at 8 a.m. at Walmart, 1930 Main St.
The program is designed to encourage people to walk while they shop. The program was established to expand access to walking options in the Sanford- Springvale area with support from the Sanford-Springvale YMCA, Let’s Go! York County and SMHC. The event includes refreshments, giveaways and educational materials about how only 30 minutes a day of walking can improve your health. For more information, contact 283-7232.
