BATH

Mid-coast residents are encouraged to eat locally on Thursday to support United Way’s annual “Extra Helping” event, in which 16 local restaurants have agreed to donate a portion of Thursday’s revenue to United Way.

“United Way is helping our neighbors in Brunswick, Bath and throughout Midcoast Maine,” said Will Neilson, owner of Solo Bistro in Bath.

“‘Extra Helping’ is a great way to patronize and thank local businesses that are helping our communities. This lets us all eat locally, help locally, and live united.”

Participating restaurants in Brunswick include: Big Top Deli, Broadway Deli, Gelato Fiasco, Henry & Marty Restaurant, Mister Bagel in Brunswick only, Richard’s Restaurant, Scarlet Begonias and Wild Oats Bakery & Café.
