AUBURN — Nate Pushard doubled and singled twice as Rogers Post downed Highland Green, 7-3, in American Legion Zone III baseball action on Monday at Pettingill Park.
Highland Green (6-10), playing its fifth game in three days, received an RBI double from Ryan Lathrop and a runscoring single from Brendan Glass.
Eddie Stewart and Dan Porter combined on eight hits, three strikeouts and seven walks on the mound in the loss.
This past weekend, Highland Green went 1-3.

In the opener of a Saturday doubleheader, Bessey pitcher Riley Chickering tossed a two-hitter in a five-inning Mercy Rule win.
Joey Van Note singled and Trent Charnock doubled for Highland Green’s only two hits, while Matt Beauchesne led the victors with two doubles and a single.

Torrey Charnock singled twice and Brady Murray added a double, but Bessey Motors received two hits from Nick Attalides-Ryan and Nick Bowie, and a two-run double from Chickering in the win for the doubleheader sweep.
Bessey improved to 13-3.

On Sunday, Highland Green rode a strong all-around performance from Lathrop to post a win in the opening game of a doubleheader.
Lathrop scattered eight hits on the mound and struck out one. At the plate, he singled twice, while Murray picked up three RBIs.

Justin Stearns and Trent Rosenberg each doubled, and Ben Holmes struck out three as Locke Mills earned a split of the twinbill at Topsham.
Reilly Kons pitched for Highland Green, which visits Tri County today at Portland High School (5:30 p.m.), with three strikeouts.
Kons singled in a run, Murray doubled and drove in two more and Jake Liedman singled in a run in the loss.
