LOS ANGELES (AP) — New Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers has named his coaching staff, including Alvin Gentry, who returns for a third stint with the team.

Gentry was named associate head coach, while Armond Hill, Kevin Eastman and Tyronn Lue will serve as assistants.

JP Clark was hired as assistant players skill coach, completing a housecleaning of the staff that worked under former Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro.

Gentry previously was head coach of the Clippers from 2000- 03 and an assistant from 1990-91. He most recently coached the Phoenix Suns before he and the team parted ways last January. Gentry’s other head coaching stints were with Detroit and Miami.

Hill joins Rivers in Los Angeles after spending nine seasons as an assistant under him in Boston. Eastman also was a member of Rivers’ staff with the Celtics for eight seasons.
