MELROSE, MA — Virginia Grimes, age 89, died on Saturday, June 27, 2015.
She was born on July 8, 1925, in Winthrop, MA, the eldest daughter of Frederick and Millicent Tolman. She married Walter Grimes in December 1983.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; sister, Jacqueline McNally; brothers, Jimmy and Fred (Pal) Tolman; brother-in-law, John W. Cude, and nephews, Steven Cude and James Bouley.
She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Cude of Brunswick, ME and Patricia Erickson of Peabody, MA; nieces and nephews, Scott, John and Donna Cude, George and Jeff Erickson, Susan Trudell, Julie Allain, Andy, William, and Lisa McNally, Billy and Jimmy, and Diane Tolman; cousin, Jean Livick, and many great nieces and great nephews.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick, ME.
