A BRUNSWICK WOMAN sustained minor injuries Thursday in a single-car crash on U.S. Route 1 in Woolwich. The crash at 3:35 p.m. occurred about a mile north of the Nequasset Road intersection. Sagadahoc County Sheriff Joel Merry said a 2010 Hyundai driven by Cheryl Dudley, 60, of Brunswick, was traveling north when the vehicle struck the guardrail on the right side of the road. Dudley overcorrected, crossed both lanes of traffic and struck the guardrail along the southbound lane, Merry said. Dudley received minor injuries and was taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. The car was totaled and Merry said traffic was reduced to one lane and the road closed intermittently so crews could remove the car. No charges were issued.
