BATH — Montsweag Roadhouse defeated BIW, 14-4, in recent Bath Cal Ripken Baseball action.
Ethan Upham led the offense with an inside-thepark home run and a single.
Brogan Shaw added a double and single, Gavin Phillips a double, and Brenton Cahill, Lucas Ouimette and Wade Bradford a single each. Shaw and Phillips pitched for the Roadhouse, striking out nine and allowing no base hits.
Ty Knowlton and Kyle Fredericks pitched for BIW and struck out four.
In other action, Roadhouse got past Dead River, 7-5, in Brunswick.
Upham pitched three strong innings, striking out seven batters while giving up only three runs.
Phillips pitched the final two frames, striking out four. The Roadhouse offense was led by Shaw with two doubles, single and three runs scored. Upham added a double, and Bradford and Aiden Wyman a single each.
Lucas Ouimette made the defensive play of the game by catching a hard line drive at third base with the bases loaded.
