WOOLWICH — The Woolwich Central School boys basketball team is 7-0 after wins over Nobleboro and Bristol.

On Monday, Woolwich prevailed over Nobleboro 52-33 at home.

With Nobleboro’s leading scorer benched for the first half, Woolwich led 18-4 after one quarter and 31-16 at the half.

“Credit should be given to the execution of our hardnosed defense and new spread offense,” said Woolwich coach Shawn Elwell.

Woolwich also led 43-28 after three.

Evan Parsons and Dakota Freeman had 19 points each with Parsons grabbing 11 boards and Freeman adding 14 boards and 7 assists. Tucker Banger added five points and Jeremy Thiboutot four.

Nobleboro was led by Noah Steeves with 14.

Against Bristol, Woolwich led 11-7, 22-12 and 36-16 en route to a 43-18 win.

Freeman scored 21, Parsons eight and Banger six, with Lucas Brown having six and turning in a standout allaround game. James LaCavera was also a defensive standout.
