BRUNSWICK — Carolyn A. Drake, 81, of Brunswick, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Mid Coast Hospital. She was born on Feb. 8, 1934, in St. Francis, the ninth born child of Stanley E. and Eunice H. Drake. She grew up in Fort Kent and later moved to Bath and then Falmouth, where she spent most of her life.

In 2008, she moved to Brunswick to be closer to her two children. Carolyn enjoyed a good story that could bring her a good laugh. She also was a big fan of a cup of lobster stew or a lobster roll. Her best enjoyment was spending time with her siblings and talking about the good ole days.

She is survived by one daughter, Karen D. Watson and her husband, David, of Phippsburg, and one son, Stanley E. King and his wife, Kathy, of Arrowsic; six grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer and Alex Watson and Amy, Craig and Karl King; four great-grandchildren, and one great-greatgrandchild. She is also survived by six sisters, Dot, Helen, Joyce, Nellie, Florence and Leila; as well as five brothers, Donald, Richard, Floyd, Raymond and Lawrence.

Carolyn was predeceased by her mother and father; two brothers, Gordon and Elwin; and six sisters, Lucille, Katherine, Louise, Lona, Virginia and Freda; as well as her lifelong friend and companion Clarence V. Blake.

The family would like to thank the staff at Dionne Commons for the excellent care she received while a resident there.
