PORTLAND — The Reading Fightin’ Phils emerged victorious over the Portland Sea Dogs in the Eastern League opening series, winning the rubber match Sunday at Hadlock Field, 10-2.

After the Sea Dogs won the season opener, the Phils outscored Portland 21-2 in the final two games of the series.

Zach Eflin, making his Phillies organizational debut, picked up the win for Reading.

Eflin, who was acquired by the Phillies in the trade that sent Jimmy Rollins to the Dodgers, pitched six shutout innings and allowed just four hits while walking one and striking out two.

The homestand continues for the Sea Dogs tonight at 6 p. m. against the New Britain Rock Cats.
