MONMOUTH

Nick Dovinsky drained a 3-pointer with less than one second remaining to lift Monmouth Academy to a 47- 44 Mountain Valley Conference win over Lisbon on Friday.

Dovinksy’s only points followed a Hunter Richardson (21 points) tying basket for the Mustangs (5-13).

Jonah Sautter led Lisbon (9-9) with 15 points, while Tyrese Joseph added 11 and Sean Scott eight.

Lisbon will enter the post-season as the No. 7 seed in Class B South and will face No. 2 Spruce Mountain in the quarterfinals at the Portland Expo.

MT. ARARAT 55

The Red Eddies scored at least 20 points in each quarter for a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over Mt. Ararat on Friday in Auburn.

Edward Little (17-1) led 21- 13, 43-30 and 63-36 at the quarter breaks.

Jared Norcross-Plourde led the Red Eddies with 31 points, while Samatar Iman chipped in 19 and Darby Shea 17.

Ryan Mello paced Mt. Ararat with 19 points, while Cam Cox added 11 and Jared Balser 10.

The Eagles finished their season with a 4-14 mark.

The Shipbuilders concluded a 4-14 season with a KVAC loss at Winslow on Friday.

Dylan Hutchinson paced the Black Raiders (14-4) with 15 points.

Thomas Warren led Morse with 16 points.

BATH— Winslow picked up a 42-30 KVAC win over Morse at Bath Middle School on Friday.

Despite the loss, the Shipbuilders (5-13) made the Class A South field and will visit Leavitt in the 8-9 matchup in the Class A South preliminary.

Ciara LeClair had 13 points and Heather Kervin 12 for the 16-2 Black Raiders.

Sierra Wallace paced Morse with 10 points.

MT. ARARAT 31

The host Eagles hung tough for a half, but the Red Eddies pulled away in the second half for a KVAC win at Topsham on Friday.

Edward Little (15-3) led 19- 11 and 29-20 at the first two quarter breaks, but used a 12-5 in the third quarter to pull away.

Jordyn Reynolds had a game-high 13 points in the win, with Piper Norcross and Jade Perry splitting 18 points down the middle.

Nikki Bradstreet had eight points for Mt. Ararat, which finished its season with a 3-15 record.

LAKE REGION 64

The host Lakers received 23 points from Kristen Huntress for a Western Maine Conference win at Naples on Friday.

Huntress scored 21 of her points in the second half, while teammate Chandler True tallied 13 of her 17 points in the first half.

After a 13-13 deadlock through a quarter, the Lakers led 30-22 at the half and 52-32 through three.

Jessie Driscoll and Taylor Rinaldi both scored 10 points for the Falcons (11-7), who will host No. 9 Lisbon is a Class B South prelim.

GORHAM — Massabesic/ Old Orchard Beach/Bonny Eagle scored two goals in the third period, including an empty netter to fend off Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/ Morse’s comeback on Saturday night at USM Arena to take a 7-4 victory.

Tanner McClure scored three goals and had one assist to lead the Mob, while Brandon Caron added a goal and two assists.

Kyle McKay made 19 saves to earn the victory in net for Massabesic/ OOB/ Bonny Eagle (9-4-2).

Sam Alexander had two goals and an assist for the Eagles (6-9), who also got a goal and an assist from Tyler LaCascio.

Parker Lacey made 21 saves in the losing effort.

The Eagles visit Cony/Monmouth/Hall-Dale on Tuesday at 5:10 p.m.
