
He was born in Damariscotta on May 21, 1922, a son of John H. and Margueritte (Lessner) Crocker.
He graduated from Lincoln Academy and on Aug. 28, 1942, married Isabel L. Lewis. He entered the United States Navy serving during World War II and was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Bronze Star and the Philippine Liberation Bronze Star. He was employed at Bath Iron Works as a pipefitter, retiring in 1984.
Chester enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially spending time with family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Isabel L. Crocker on July 16, 2007; two brothers, Edward Crocker and Charles Crocker; three sisters, Edna Weaver, Hazel Harold and Florence Cossette, and one grandson, David Crocker.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015, at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High St., Bath. A celebration of his life will be held at noon on Saturday at the Woolwich Wiscasset Baptist Church, Route 1, Woolwich. Burial with military honors will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wiscasset in the spring.
