To the Editor:
I am writing in strong support for Andrew Mason for the House District 60 seat.
Andrew has served Topsham well, first on the board of TDI and presently as a town selectman. He has worked diligently in meeting the needs of Topsham’s citizens, businesses and of our community. I am grateful for his service, not only because of his strong work ethic and the knowledge that he brings to the table but also in the way that he brings it.
Andrew has a consensusbuilding style and this is sorely needed in Augusta. I know he will be a good role model for some of the less experienced legislators. Many of the newly elected have struggled, clinging to party ideology instead of sincerely attempting to meet the needs of the citizens that they were supposed to represent.
Electing Andrew will send a strong message that we as citizens will no longer tolerate this type of behavior and that is it time to work together to solve the mounting problems that stand in front of us.
I am hopeful for Maine’s future but we need citizens in leadership roles that are competent and willing to serve the people unselfishly. That is Andrew Mason.
