
He was born in Brunswick, ME on March 8, 1977 a son of Daniel B. Cummings Sr. and his wife Dianna of Gray and the late Rachel P. (Will) Cummings, who died on April 10, 1996. He grew up in Freeport, attending local area schools.
Matt spent some time working for the DOT and for the past few years he worked as a mechanic and Tow Truck Driver. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed working on cars and trucks of all kinds. Matt greatly enjoyed spending time with his children and was a loving Dad.
Besides his father, he is survived by four children Austin Cummings, Shayla Cummings, Rachel Cummings and Nicholas Cummings. He is also survived by one brother Daniel B. Cummings Jr. and two sisters Leighann Binkley and her husband Charles and Patricia Pierce and her husband Curt as well as many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of his life on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Cummings residence, 20 Zachary Drive, Gray, ME.
