Today’s snowstorm has wreaked havoc with a very busy and important weekend of games, contests and matches.

The state wrestling championships were set to be held Saturday at the Augusta Civic Center.

Now they will be held Feb. 16 (9:30 a.m.) with Class A in Sanford, Class B in Fryeburg and Class C at Foxcroft Academy.

State cheerleading has been moved from Saturday to Monday with the start of the Class C-D competition at 4:30 p.m. at the Bangor Auditorium.

Class A-B competition is set for 6:30 p.m., with the Presentation of Awards at 8:45 p.m.

The Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Indoor Track Championships have been pushed up to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday depending on the weather and the plowing of the parking lot.

The KVAC swimming championships have been moved from Saturday to Monday (1 p.m.) at the Bath Area Family YMCA.

The Bowdoin College basketball teams have announced schedule changes too.

Tonight’s games have been moved to Sunday and game times have been adjusted. Bowdoin will play at Connecticut College on Saturday, with the men scheduledfora5p.m.startandthe womenslatedfora7p.m.tip-off.

Bowdoin will play at Wesleyan on Sunday, with the men starting at 2 p.m. and the women scheduled for 4 p.m.

The Bowdoin women’s hockey team is still scheduled to host Hamilton today, but the game has been moved up to a 5 p.m. start. The Polar Bears will host Hamilton again on Saturday at their normal 3 p.m. starting time.

Meanwhile, the Bowdoin men’s hockey team has a change. The Polar Bears visit Trinity, as scheduled, on Saturday at 3 p.m., but tonight’s contest at Wesleyan has been moved to Sunday in Middletown, Conn., with face-off slated for 4:30 p.m.

And, the Nordic ski event scheduled for Oak Hill, N.H., will now take place at Craftsbury, Vt., this weekend.

Races were to begin at 11 a.m. today and will resume at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
