BOSTON (AP) — The Boston Bruins have acquired Brett Connolly from the Tampa Bay Lightning in return for two second-round draft picks, one in 2015 and one in 2016, according to the Associated Press.
Connolly, a 22-year-old forward, has 12 goals and three assists in 49 games with Tampa Bay this year. He has produced in the AHL, with 31 goals and 32 assists with the Syracuse Crunch in 2012-13, but has yet to score as consistently at the NHL level.
He was drafted in the first round, sixth overall, by the Lightning in 2010 and will become a restricted free agent after this season.
