PORTLAND

A Bath man pleaded guilty Wednesday to possession of child pornography.

Joseph Finocchiaro, 61, faces up to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of up to $250,000. He will be sentenced after completion of a pre-sentencing report by the United States Probation Office.

United States Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II announced Finocchiaro lodged his guilty plea in United States District Court before Judge Nancy Torresen.

According to court records, in October 2012, investigators executed a search warrant at Finocchiaro’s residence in Bath and seized several collages made from printed photographs of child pornography. Finocchiaro printed the images from an internet photo-sharing website and assembled them into the collages, prosecutors said.

The investigation was conducted by the United States Postal Inspection Service, with assistance from the Bath Police Department.
