ALBANY, N.Y. — The Sage College of Albany men’s soccer team, in its third season as a varsity program, continues to impress.

The Gators, and junior forward Scott Jarosz of Brunswick, are coming off a week that saw the team post a pair of wins, while extending its winning streak to 11 games.

The Gators are ranked 10th regionally in the latest NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Men’s Poll.

Jarosz has become a national statistical leader and once again was named the Skyline Conference Co-Player of the Week, scoring three goals, as well as a game-winning goal in the team’s road win over Elmira College.

On Wednesday, Jarosz was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Metro Division III Men’s Soccer Player of the Week.

The honor comes on the heels of his second selection as the Skyline Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, a selection he shares this week.

He leads Sage with a pair of season records that includes most goals (17) and points (34) in a season.

Not only does he lead the Skyline Conference in scoring, but he ranks among the top scorers in all of Division III. Jarosz is No. 2 in goals per game with a 1.42 average, while also ranking No. 4 in total points. He also checks in at No. 6 in points per game with a 2.83 per game average.

Jarosz, the all-time leading scorer at Sage with 26 goals and 53 points, is third in D-III in goals this season, and has a pair of game-winning tallies this season.
