BIDDEFORD — Sophomore Caroline Malone scored off a rebound with 5:01 elapsed in overtime to give visiting Babson College a 6-5 come-frombehind win over the University of New England in nonconference field hockey action Sunday afternoon at the Big Blue Turf.
Babson, which rallied from a 4-1 second-half deficit, improved to 3-1, while the Nor’easters fell to 1-2. It was the first-ever meeting between the two squads.
Junior Hayley LaPointe of Topsham scored a pair of first-half goals to help UNE build a 3-1 cushion.
The Nor’easters will entertain St. Joseph’s College in a non-conference match tonight at 7 p.m.
