ROCKLAND — A 13-point third quarter put the dagger in the backs of the Morse High School girls freshmen basketball team, as the Phoenix went on to capture a 58-33 victory.
Lilly Maccio led the Shipbuilders with 11 points, with Marissa Parks adding eight points of her own. Oceanside’s Gabby Simmons led all scorers with 18, while teammates Amelia Campbell and Carlotte Lepaulo dropped 12 and 10 points respectively.
Micailah Albertson, Samantha Brown and Isabella Monbouquette collected four points for Morse, with Madeline Mitchell adding a bucket, while the team combined for a mere 4-for-20 at the line. The Shipbuilders drop to 2-1 on the season.
