BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College first-year women’s hockey player Julie Dachille has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
Dachille led the way for the Polar Bears in Minnesota last weekend as the squad improved to 6-1-2 on the season. It is the first NESCAC honor of Dachille’s career.
The rookie forward scored three goals and had four assists in the Polar Bears’ 2- 0 Midwestern road trip. She scored once and added three assists, including a helper on the overtime game-winner, to lead Bowdoin to a 4-3 win over nationally-ranked St. Thomas on Jan. 2.
The next day at Hamline, Dachille scored twice, including the eventual game-winning goal, and added another assist as the Polar Bears picked up a 4-1 win.
Dachille currently ranks fourth in the NESCAC with 12 points on the year.
Bowdoin returns home this weekend for a two-game series against Connecticut College at Watson Arena on Friday (7 p.m.) and Saturday (3 p.m.).
