NASHUA, N.H. — Maine Maritime Academy hung on for a 58-50 victory over Daniel Webster on Tuesday night at Mario Vagge Gymnasium in the first-ever meeting between the two programs in girls college basketball action.
Mary Badeen scored a game-high 26 points to lead the Mariners in the win, while adding seven rebounds. Jillian Perron added a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Former Mt. Ararat High School standout Kristi Willey just missed a double-double with nine points and a game-best 15 boards for the Mariners, while Maggie McConkey chipped in with nine points.
MMA returns to action Saturday at 3 p.m. at Husson.
