BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick High School jayvee Orange girls basketball team built a lead and held on in the fourth for a 47-37 victory over Lincoln Academy on Tuesday.
Brunswick gained a 15-7 first-quarter lead and led at halftime, 25-15.
Adria Doane scored 14 points to lead the Dragons, while Kendahl Dow added 11 points and Maggie Folsom chipped in with nine points.
Katelin Tozier and Maddy York combined to score 25 points for Lincoln Academy.
Brunswick’s half-court defense proved to be a catalyst against the Eagles. Hannah Fortier, Riley Turgeon and Dow were instrumental in pressuring Lincoln Academy’s guards throughout the game. Doane grabbed nine rebounds while anchoring the post defensively for the Dragons.
