SOUTH PORTLAND — Southern Maine Community College blew past the Central Maine Community College Mustangs team in a women’s soccer matchup on Wednesday, 8-0.

Seawolves Danielle McCusker and Katy Cyr each collected a hat trick in the game to combine for six of SMCC’s eight goals.

The offense only got started in the 29th minute, but the Seawolves were able to net four goals in five minutes in the first half.

The second half continued with much of the same, as former Richmond High School standout Taylor Clapp drove a ball from 30 yards out just two and a half minutes in to put the Seawolves up 6-0.

The Seawolves ended the game with 31 shot attempts while the Mustangs only managed to get off five. CMCC keeper Jasmine Hatch had 14 saves on the afternoon.
