BATH — Marcia H. Halterman, 81, of Schooner Ridge Road died Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at her residence.

She was born in Rochester, New York on April 16, 1931, a daughter of Anita (Vosbrink) and John Kenneth Hoag.

She attended Woodbury High School in Woodbury, New Jersey, graduating in 1949. She married Harry W. Halterman, Jr. on June 6, 1953 and became a military wife enjoying extensive travel and new cultures.

Marcia enjoyed crafting, cooking and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Over the years she was involved in the Mid Coast United Way, Mid Coast Hospital Volunteers, The American Red Cross and The Bath United Church of Christ.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of nearly 45 years, Col. Harry W. Halterman Jr. on February 26, 1999 and her second child, Karl R. Halterman on May 17, 2009.

Marcia is survived by her brother John Elliott Hoag, of Kansas City, Missouri, her eldest son, Hank Halterman of West Bath, her daughter, Katie Kennedy (nee Halterman) of Fredericton, N.B. Canada, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held 6 to 8 PM on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High Street, Bath. A celebration of life will be held at 10 AM on Saturday at The Bath United Church Of Christ, 150 Congress Ave., Bath.
