PHIPPSBURG — Margaret “Peg” A. Doughty, 74, of Parker Head Road passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at her residence.

She was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on July 17, 1942, a daughter of John M. and Mildred V. (Clough) Rogers.

She graduated from Morse High School in the Class of 1960 and on September 3, 1960 married Warren N. Doughty. She was employed at Sebasco Lodge for many years. Peggy was active in town affairs having served on the school board and was a member and past president of the Phippsburg Historical Society.

She is survived by her husband, Warren N. Doughty Sr. of Phippsburg, one son, Warren “Bub” Doughty Jr. of Phippsburg, three daughters, Suzanne Murray and her husband Craig of West Bath, Jodi St. Onge of Phippsburg and Catherine “Katie” Canfield and her husband Christopher of Otisfield, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, an aunt, Margaret Wyman, sister-in-law, Linda (Doughty) Totman, several cousins and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Patricia Albert.

Burial will be at Drummore Cemetery in Phippsburg at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Phippsburg Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 83, Phippsburg, 04562.
