FREEPORT — Police are still investigating an armed
robbery at the Intervale Mercantile at 4 School St. Friday.
The robbery was reported at 8:40 a.m. According to a statement from Freeport Police Chief Susan
Nourse, an unknown male reportedly fled the store with the owner’s
wallet along with several thousands of dollars in merchandise which
was placed in a leather satchel in the store.
As of Saturday afternoon there have
been no further developments in the investigation.
