BATH — Arthur T. Cannon of Bath, Maine, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2014, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born in New York, N.Y., on April 10, 1931. He attended high school in Matawan, N.J. He attended Ohio State University, and served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956. He made his career as an architectural specifications consultant.
He was the son of Arthur T. Cannon and Sarah (Quinn) Cannon. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, John J. Cannon; and a niece, Kathleen Cannon.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Cannon of Bath; a brother, James Cannon and wife Clare of Greenville, S.C.; a sister, Mary Howard of Oneonta, N.Y.; his children, John Cannon of Portland, Laure McGurren of Berwick, Thomas Cannon of Sanford, Linda Madore of Saco and Stephen Cannon of Frederick, Md.; eight grandchildren; one greatgrandson; and many nieces and nephews.
According to his wishes, there will be no funeral services. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
