BRUNSWICK — Juliette B. Chase, age 96, died at her home on Thursday, July 24, 2014.

She was born on Oct. 11, 1917, the daughter of Gideon and Maryanne Labrie Boisvert. She grew up with her grandparents and aunts and uncles. She was particularly fond of her Aunt Rose. She married Norman G. Chase in 1942. Mr. Chase died in 1985.

She attended Lewiston schools. She was a resident of Auburn, until relocating with her husband to Brunswick in 1980.

In the past she enjoyed volunteering, including time at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston. She also enjoyed refinishing furniture, reading and gardening. Her favorite pastime was playing bingo with her friends and attending bunco with the Red Hats. She definitely had a joie d’vivre.

She is survived by a daughter Shirley Chase of Brunswick; a granddaughter Liv Rose Chase of Portland. Many thanks to CHANS hospice and her many friends who prayed for her and her doctor who came to the house to see her in her final days.

At her request, services will be private. Interment will take place in Gracelawn Memorial Park, Auburn. Memories and condolences can be expressed at www.brackettfuneralhome.com.
