The Bath Police Department continues to investigate three sets of thefts reported since Friday, starting with a bicycle.
Lt. Stan Cielinski said someone took a Trek hybrid bicycle from a garage on North Street. The owner believes it was taken sometime during the day between Tuesday and Friday morning, when the theft was reported. The purloined bicycle is two years old and worth an estimated $300.
Shortly after noon Saturday, police received a report that building materials had been taken from a vacant building on High Street. During the past five or six weeks, thieves allegedly took 13 boxes of flooring worth an estimated $630 from a renovation project at the vacant building.
The theft of two aluminum ladders was reported to police at about 1:45 p.m. Sunday.
Cielinski said a 28-foot ladder valued at about $500 and a 12-foot ladder worth about $150 were taken from a North Street resident who does home repairs. The victim told police the ladders were taken sometime during the past two weeks.
