CASA GRANDE Ariz — Barbara L. Holmes, 92, died at home on June 26, 2016 after a long illness with her family by her side. Mrs. Holmes, the daughter of Reuben C. Walker of Bath, ME, grew up and went to Bath schools although she ultimately received the GED of which she was very proud in Arizona In 1985.
For many years after their retirement, she and her husband, Howard P. Holmes, toured the country in an RV before settling down in Casa Grande, AZ where they made many new friends and attended the local United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen L. Towle; a sister, Carol Lindquist; five grandchildren; and several great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years; a daughter, Karen L. Boone; and a sister, Edith Stevens.
Angels in Waiting Cremation & Burial was in charge of arrangements.
