LEWISTON — Five members of the Bates College women’s track and field team officially received a total of nine All-New England Small College Athletic Conference awards on Wednesday for their top-three event performances at Saturday’s NESCAC Championship.
Junior Allison Hill of Brunswick led the way with three All-NESCAC honors. Sophomore Sally Ceesay and senior Alexis Dickinson of Brunswick won two apiece, while junior Claire Markonic and sophomore Srishti Sunil won one apiece.
Hill’s haul included winning the conference title in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:02.85 and placing second in the 100 hurdles, meanwhile lowering her own team record in the event to 14.50 seconds.
Dickinson placed second in the 100 dash and shattered Bates’ record by a whopping 0.28 seconds with her time of 12.14 seconds.
