BATH — The Hyde School jayvee boys basketball team has been busy of late.
The Phoenix opened the week with a 60-44 home win against Sacopee Valley.
Eight players scored for the Phoenix with Kiefer Cundy and Evander Lenardson both reaching double digits. Wondo Shaw and Judah Maroun also stood out.
Hyde also headed to Lumberjack country to take on Hebron, with the Phoenix falling 48-44.
The first quarter was evenly matched with Hyde and Hebron exchanging buckets throughout. The Lumberjacks took control in the second quarter, with the Phoenix struggling with undisciplined play and poor ball handling. Hebron led by eight points at the break.
Hyde’s Ben Burlock and Shaw played well in the second half, Maroun was a floor leader and Jeremia Syska turned in a strong all-around game.
