NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The Bowdoin College squash teams posted mixed results against a challenging field at the Yale Round Robin last weekend.

The Polar Bear men defeated Hamilton ( 7- 2) before falling to Middlebury (9-0), St. Lawrence (8-1) and Columbia (7-2). The women’s team beat St. Lawrence (9-0) but fell to Hamilton (7-2), Middlebury (9- 0), Franklin & Marshall (6-3) and Columbia (9-0).

Barrett Takesian had the most successful weekend for either squad, earning a trio of wins for the men’s team by capturing points against Hamilton, St. Lawrence and Columbia. Stephan Danyluk also claimed two points for the weekend by earning wins against Hamilton and Columbia.

Torey Lee continued her strong rookie campaign by earning two points at the No. 1 position for the women’s team against Hamilton and St. Lawrence. Elizabeth Schetman and Bonnie Cao also collected a pair of points each against Franklin & Marshall and St. Lawrence.

The women’s team sits at 5-7 this winter while the men’s team is 5- 8. The Bowdoin men visit Bates on Jan. 25, while the women play host to Drexel at Lubin Center on Jan. 27.
