
Flo graduated from Commercial High School in New Haven in 1940. She worked in numerous jobs including payroll department of Connecticut Hard Rubber Company.
In 1945 she married her true love, Joseph A. Valukas, who she had known since they were children. They never dated until he was serving in the U.S.Army. They eventually built their home in Leicester, MA, where they raised their daughter, Florence.
After her husbands death in 1975 she remained in Leicester until 1999 when she moved to Pejepscot Terrace in Brunswick to be near her daughter and son-in-law Mark Crowley.
In addition to her daughter and son-in-law she is survived by three step grandchildren, John Crowley, Diane Wheatley and Lisa Crowley; three great grand children. Also very special friends, the Laconto family of Leicester, MA.
There will be no visiting hours. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00AM, Friday August 18th, 2017 at St. Mary’s Church, 144 Lincoln St. in Bath.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hillhouse Assisted Living for their wonderful, caring service over the last two years and to the CHANS Organization during her final days.
