
Louise spent summers at Mere Point, Maine where she loved to sail on Casco Bay. After raising three children in Chatham Township, New Jersey, she trained as a paralegal and then worked for 16 years at Pitney Hardin, Kipp and Szuch. She retired to Brunswick, Maine in 1994. She was active volunteering at the local hospital, and exercising her analytical mind solving puzzles and playing bridge. In 2011, she moved to Thornton Hall in Brunswick and enjoyed building new friendships.
Louise is survived by her three children, Mary Ellen Winninghoff of Seattle, Washington, James Dawson Winninghoff also of Seattle, and Ann Winninghoff Carroll of Raleigh, North Carolina. In addition, she is by survived four grandchildren Samuel Derome Winninghoff, Hayley Derome Winninghoff, Erin Leigh Carroll, and Aidan James Carroll.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mere Point in August.
