BRUNSWICK — The Howard Vandersea Chapter of the National Football Foundation has announced the 20 recipients for its 30th annual Scholar-Athlete awards.
Each honoree will receive a $500 grant from the Coach Mac-Huard Fund, to support their higher education endeavors.
The award winners will be honored at a banquet at Bowdoin College’s Thorne Hall on May 24 at 6 p.m. Tickets for the banquet are $30 and the general public is invited to attend.

The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame is dedicated to mobilizing the constructive forces of amateur football, at all levels, for the benefit of society as a whole. The Howard Vandersea/State of Maine Chapter has been honoring scholar-athletes since its establishment in 1988.
